Abortion and the Church

In a vote of 53-44, the Senate has failed to pass the Born-Alive Abortion Survivor’s Protection Act. Consider this action. A total of 44 Democrats voted NO on this bill, with three GOP senators not voting.

The failure of this bill’s passage into law is absolutely immoral and unconscionable. If one considers the actual ramifications of the failure of this bill, which was designed to force doctors and healthcare officials to provide care and nurturing for babies who actually survived the abortion process, it’s clear that some see murdering children as an actual option and permissible under the law. It isn’t. In 2016, presidential candidate Hillary Clinton stated that the “unborn person doesn’t have constitutional rights.” [1; emphasis added] The absurdity of the above statement should be plain to everyone. First, she actually referred to an unborn child as a “person.” Second, she states because it had not been born (was still inside the womb or had been aborted); the “person” has no rights under the Constitution. That is illogical. Even if Clinton’s statement was true (and it is not), why refer to the baby as a “person” in the first place? That gives her intent away. If anyone agrees with Clinton’s statement – we shouldn’t – she is still implying that a baby who survives an abortion attempt and is born alive does have constitutional rights. If this is so, any politician who voted against the bill to protect “persons” who survive abortions are actually condoning the murder of a “person” who, because they were born into this world by surviving the abortionist’s attempt to kill them, now have constitutional rights! Yet, those on the Left have already begun to state that they want the decision regarding that child who survives an abortion to be sole responsibility mother and physician and possibly family members. In other words, if the child survives the abortion attempt, he/she should only be allowed to live IF the mother wants to keep it. How did America arrive to this point where taking the life of an unborn child is not only permissible and accepted but now this thinking must be extended to include children (persons) who survive the abortion attempt and should be allowed to die through negligence? How did this happen? How does anyone, in good conscience, agree with this type of thinking that children, while in the womb, are not persons and even after they are born are only persons when and if the mother wants that child, even though it is alive? Is this not pure, unadulterated murder at that point? How can it be considered otherwise? Once the child has been born, surely the mother’s life is no longer in “danger,” is it? The only excuse left is that the mother simply did not “want” the child. So because of that, it is okay to leave it to die, though it has been born and is now officially considered a “person” having rights under the United States Constitution? The absurdity is clear except to those on the Left whose consciences are seared due to their abject blindness. Why do Leftists work so hard to keep abortion alive to the point that they are now pushing infanticide? What is their major motivation to ensure – under the guise of a woman’s “health,” “right,” or “choice” – that women can terminate their pregnancy even after the child is born? There has to be something driving these people. What is it? I believe the answer is twofold. First, people who think like this do so because of the one who is not only the father of lies, but hates humanity with a passion because we are made in God’s image. Ultimately, Satan hates God for the power that God has over His Creation, including Satan. Unbelievers think as Satan thinks. It’s that simple. Satan hates human beings because we are the object of God’s love. In his attempts to hurt God, Satan goes after those created in God’s image…us. Do people on the Left even understand this at all? Doubtful. They care only for themselves. In fact, as our Assistant Pastor related in a sermon recently, 2 Timothy 3 speaks of people like this and categorizes them perfectly. “This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. 2 For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, 3 Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, 4 Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; 5 Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.” (2 Timothy 3:1-5 KJV) Since people aren’t born with these attributes, how do they become what is described above? They do so by deliberately turning away from God and His truth. They reject Him wholeheartedly eventually searing their consciences (Romans 1). They couldn’t care less about what is good, what is holy, what is responsible, or what is true. They learn to seek only what seems good to them. Their “truth” is a moving palette of anti-God falsehoods, born of their own growing desire to live by emotional virtue (how they feel), which to them seems like truth (Proverbs 14:12). We can see from the Apostle Paul’s words to Timothy that this is actually a downward spiral that takes people from just loving themselves to involving themselves in all sorts of evil, corruption, and falsification because that self-love has overwhelmed them and their thinking. They come to the point where they prefer lies to truth and in doing so, will fiercely advance against anyone who points actual truth out to them, however lovingly or patiently done. They learn to despise those who are good (those who in Christ do good things by His power). They have such high opinions of themselves that they might even resort to using violence against those with whom they disagree. Certainly, using violent rhetoric against those they oppose is normal for them. Notice also these people tend to be “trucebreakers” and “false accusers.” Lies are their main method of battle, hoping to intimidate and decimate anyone who opposes them. We were witness to the lies against Justice Brett Kavanaugh and Clarence Thomas before him. We’ve seen the same type of lies against other conservatives running for office, yet the same accusations against people on the Left running for office are barely noticed at all. We cry out against the obvious duplicity yet it continues. I believe the other reason that so many on the Left support abortion and reject any attempt to push it back or remove it has to do with a very disgusting thing that’s been going on for far too long. That subject is not an easy one to discuss but it needs to be broached. Put simply, there is a great deal of money to be made via the wholesale slaughter and sale of baby parts, as disgusting as that is to wrap our brains around. It simply exists. Undercover videos have brought this subject into the public eye where abortion providers are heard and seen discussing the sale of baby parts. So these abortionists make money off of the abortion itself, then turn around and make more money off the sale of organs and other baby parts. So even though many politicians mouth the empty phrase, “women’s health” or “women’s choice,” in reality, it’s something far more malevolent. But speaking these phrases is a delight to any social justice warrior (SJW) because it pleases how they feel. Consider the following news report, one of many. “Two wealthy Ecuadorian brothers who were principals in DaVinci Biosciences and DV Biologics, the California companies fined and ordered to shut down for illegally trafficking world-wide in aborted baby parts it obtained from Planned Parenthood, were arrested by ICE on February 13, 2019.” Please note that these two brothers from Ecuador likely made their wealth or seriously added to it through the illegal sale of aborted baby parts. The babies were obtained from Planned Parenthood. Notice also that they were arrested by ICE. They were arrested by ICE for being in this country illegally. Their deportation is underway now. Yet the Left wants ICE shutdown. Is this part of the reason why? It begins to make sense why so many on the Left are calling for the defunding of ICE, not Planned Parenthood. We also understand why so many political officials in so-called “sanctuary cities” are unwilling to work with ICE. By the way, you are probably aware that the concept of sanctuary cities is loosely based on the Old Testament concept of Cities of Refuge (Deuteronomy 19). These cities were specifically set up to protect people who accidentally killed someone, what we might refer to as “manslaughter” today. The cities were not set up for people who deliberately and with malice planned and carried out the murder of another individual. Today’s “sanctuary cities” are illegal because they protect lawless people from justice. The truth is that abortions and selling of aborted baby parts is huge business and we are only glimpsing the tip of the iceberg. It’s always about following the money. We must stop paying attention to what people actually say and find out what they are actually doing. Is it really about a “woman’s health” or a “woman’s choice”? No, it’s clearly about the money, but these phrases are used by politicians on both sides of the aisle to foster the incorrect idea that they care about women. Yet, over half of the abortions performed result in killing female babies. Where are the feminists? It’s not about a woman’s health or her freedom of choice. It’s about people making themselves rich off the misery and murder of children. In essence, it is the modern-day equivalent of Moloch worship with the additional perk of making a ton of money on the side. God help us literally because we are at serious odds with Him regarding this issue. Recently, President Trump found a way to partially defund Planned Parenthood. [3] Beyond this, he is said to be considering an executive order to legal options to force doctors and healthcare practitioners to provide life-saving care to children who survive abortion attempts. We’ll see what happens but we need to continue to pray that God will overrule at least some of this abuse of human rights.
